Precept Wine is the largest privately-owned wine company in the Pacific Northwest with an extensive portfolio of wineries and vineyards. CMA’s Seattle website design department created a state-of-the-art new site for Precept Wine, featuring mobile-friendly design, an intuitive WordPress content management system (CMS), and customizable navigation across a significant database.
Because they carry more than 30 brands, Precept’s new website required a streamlined database experience so that restaurateurs and salespeople could easily access and draw from a large catalog of wines, acclaims, and sales tools. CMA designed a custom interface that allows users to quickly select and download only the information they need for promotional or educational purposes.
CMA also incorporated responsive design in building Precept’s new site. Responsive design produces an optimal mobile experience, allowing site elements to re-size and re-organize for a smarter visual display on phones and tablets. In today’s on-the-go business world, responsive design helps salespeople quickly present a product or distribute information during client “house calls” or other remote interactions. Precept salespeople can do their job with greater efficiency, while saving themselves and their clients valuable time.
Finally, CMA provided client training and a custom employee user manual, so Precept employees are able to update their WordPress CMS with news, events, and an ever-growing influx of product information.
PreceptWine.com contains landing pages for every Precept brand, but each brand also has its own website. CMA is currently working on Precept’s “child” sites (Precept being the “parent” site), implementing, among other features, responsive design, search engine optimization, and a centralized CMS user platform for the extended network.
